Free Golf Coaching Library

Hi, I’m Steve. I’m an average Weekend Golfer.

I’ve been around the game for a long time and have been creating golf content on this website since I first started it back in 2012.

Over those years I’ve accumulated a fairly large collection of golf videos covering my own golf, practice, courses and coaching.

A substantial part of that archive was created with PGA Professional Richard Lawless, who coached me while I was a member at The Wiltshire Golf Club.

How the Coaching Library Started

Rich and I originally created the coaching library as a structured collection of golf lessons for ordinary club golfers.

We covered the different parts of the game in individual courses, breaking subjects down into short videos rather than trying to explain everything in one enormous lesson.

The library grew over time and eventually included coaching covering the golf swing, driving, short game, putting, course management and many of the other things that tend to cause weekend golfers trouble.

Why Is It Free?

For a long time, the coaching library sat behind the scenes as part of the Weekend Golfers membership area, which meant only paid members got to see it.

As with most things online, things have changed considerably since we first created it. The way people find and consume golf content has changed, and keeping all this coaching tucked away behind a membership area no longer makes much sense.

The videos already exist, Rich and I put a considerable amount of work into creating them, and there is useful coaching in there that golfers can still benefit from.

So I’ve decided to open the library up and make it freely available through the Weekend Golfers website and my YouTube channel.

There is no membership required and you don’t need to create an account.

Just choose something you’d like to work on and start watching.

Golf Coaching for Weekend Golfers

This isn’t a promise to rebuild your golf swing overnight.

It’s a collection of practical coaching from a PGA Professional, originally created with an ordinary amateur golfer, me, who has spent a large part of his golfing life trying to get better.

Some of it may help your game. Some of it may give you something different to try on the practice ground.

And, like most golf advice, occasionally you’ll discover something that makes perfect sense right up until you stand over a golf ball.

That’s golf.

Have a look through the coaching library below, pick the part of your game that needs some attention, and see what you find.

I hope you find something useful.

Cheers
Steve
